Why Is There All This Fuss About Item Upgrade
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to provide additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an acquired item level upgrade, such as an armor, weapon or ring. This swaps the current item for one similar one with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable method of upgrading gear. However, they do not retain the same level as the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors through several means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item for example, increasing its damage.
Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack, while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give players additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to higher quality. To make them, you need a higher level reroll token. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item upgrader kit, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is rerolled. This allows you to not waste upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they will display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's shop will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
This means that blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This alters the blueprints that the restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and other accessories. These stones are special stones that boost the level of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. These stones are also available to players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear players first need to find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he can select the upgrade option and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the longevity of the item. This is an excellent choice for those who wish to gain an advantage in battle but don't want to spend a lot of money. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.
The process of obtaining Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for new players. There are a variety of ways to obtain them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Additionally, players can cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the power of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade components and grant the Best item upgrader a higher level, granting the item an additional boost in that particular area. This process continues until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components do not stack with each other, but can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can add equipment that needs to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. When a player has enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its maximum level, its upgrades will not be available to it. In the same way, once an item is on a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Upgrades to items enable players to increase the stats of certain armors and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item vary depending on the kind of item, but typically you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them extra effects or an increased quality of the item. These upgrades can be obtained through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is placed into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers that could further increase the stats of an item upgrade.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and adds an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Certain items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more because it lets players get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
When you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item the game will show a pop-up window that shows the necessary requirements. These include the item type (either Armor or Weapon) and the tier of that item as well as the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory when you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show how close you are to completing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
