So You ve Bought Item Upgrading ... Now What
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The best method to improve your gear in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you enhance your gear without having to depend on costly drops or trades. This article will show you how to upp your items effectively.
Upgrading equipment grants a bonus to the item's base stats. The bonus is based on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components are the parts that improve your armor and weapons better. You can locate them by destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in item-spheres. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them, or by utilizing a high-tier salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when removed from an item.
The primary function of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded, however, they also serve other functions. They can be used to increase the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading equipment or weapons. They can be made for extra bonuses. For instance, a created glyph can increase the chance of upgrading its target, and an upgrade boost will enhance the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.
By selecting an upgrade items template from the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will display the upgrade components to which the item can be upgraded. Alternately, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item will gain when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for example, have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. It is therefore best to upgrade with organic components until you reach the multiplier of experience for the next rank of the weapon or gear, then switch to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has a maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of items that are upgradeable is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can get. The most powerful upgrade is a weapon with 10th level. However, the most popular weapon upgrades are a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a group of items that have the benefit of. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade will increase the guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be increased even more (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
Upgrades can also increase the base damage of a weapon. This could be crucial for certain types of builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to a higher defense base than their base. Upgrades can be a great method to increase the value of a set and unique items, however it's important to remember that they may not be better than a high-level runeword in any build.
If an item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled a few times and the guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the new item will offer various bonuses. The NPC [ArmorBoboko Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the proper amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide an extra reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and will be made using the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can play rerolling any item upgrader mod they have acquired during the game. When an item upgrade is rerolled it will be replaced with an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens are sold at the store for a small sum of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The upgraded item will still come with the extra benefits of the previous one however its stats will be different as well.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment, in addition to changing it's roll by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, while maintaining its base stats and the attributes it requires. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who own the equipment.
The player can also upgrade the level of the item for any equipped equipment. This can be done by engaging with an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade items. The cost will differ based on the upgrade track, the item type, and the number of crests. In the case of weapons, each step will add an additional 5percent to the damage.
Upgrades can boost the effectiveness of an item, but they also can decrease the quality of an item. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Some items aren't worth upgrading, whereas others require upgrades to maximize their potential. A player might want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modifier (% block chance or FHR) in order to discover what it could be.
Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People do it to gain access to an item or character that they wouldn't otherwise have. These items are time-consuming and costly to obtain, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternatives are to spend real money or grind a lot. This is why rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
When upgrading an item, you can increase the level of the weapon or armor. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I believe this feature was intended to add some value to expensive and rare items. However, as most gear is replaced fairly quickly, and it can only be leveled up to a certain level, you will typically replace it before it becomes too old. It's also not worth upgrading items with gem sockets because the power of the gem will outweigh any increment in the level of.
When you click on the upgrade option on an Item upgrader kit, you will see a small window with the upgrade template of the item as well as the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the item level. The costs will vary between armor and weapons and the latter typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and also lists its current ilvl.
The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the item's current ilvl as well as the upgrade template. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade template's reduction percentage of lvl. For example the weapon that has an 8% upgrade decrease will decrease its count by 8-8 percent.
In addition to the base ilvl boost, the item will also receive upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, PvE damage and dodge, block and parry rating. Those increases are also built on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template you can check the amount of damage or defense that the item will suffer when it is upgraded. This is listed below the cost and the upgrade percentages. All armor and weapons that are not practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. The value of these additional stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly perfectly rolled weapon or piece of armor able to command much more trade value than non-upp'd versions. This is also true for other armor pieces, like tiaras or circlets.
