World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment it will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could increase in price even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). This item level upgrade can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade item items allows players to upgrade item the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader (her comment is here) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item upgrades is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost listed above.
