World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instance "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to make stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item upgrader will appear during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know what will be improved after the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item upgrader kit.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the endgame, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a disadvantage in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens in order to do this. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player continuously enters or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every each time you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to return to its initial state, which requires the player to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like crit chance, attack damage, or additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance that it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance an item upgrades of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
