From VSt Wiki

WoW Item Upgrades

More commonly referred to as "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be applied to armor and weapons and increase their power. These upgrade items (look here) increase the gauge of an item by a specified amount of points. Their cost increases according to their rarity.

A perfectly rolled version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community due to its ability to minimize weapon damage.

Type-restricted upgrades

The process of upgrading is an essential aspect of the crafting process. They can enhance an item's stats and make it stronger or less durable, and even give it an additional benefit. They can also change the appearance of an item. While some upgrades are universal, other have specific rules for applying to weapons or armor. The wrong upgrade could ruin the weapon that was previously amazing, or even render it unusable.

As a rule it is possible to upgrade an item of equipment up to the level of its top-level counterpart. You can only upgrade helms to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the level equivalent of a sword. However, this doesn't boost the damage output of the weapon and could decrease its value in trade.

You can upgrade an item using crests or flightstones. The amount of both depends on the item level and slot. For example, an upgrade to a sword will cost more flightstones than an upgrade to bracers or a cloak. You can also get discounts on the number of crests and flightstones needed to upgrade an item.

The diamond-shaped indicator on the item is filled when it is upgraded. Each step increases the Tier level by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. It could take a few upgrades to reach this level, based on the item upgrade. It is essential to note that any procedure that could mount a disk should not be running during an upgrade. In addition, you need to ensure that the upgraded disk is not used as a system disk.

Enchantment is a function that lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue items. It is possible to do this at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This process does NOT add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However it alters the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature two categories smaller. For example that a Blaster Pistol is considered Small and a Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.

Universal upgrades

Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be applied to any type of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. Upgrade components can be obtained through Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent, and they can overlap with Power-Ups. They can also be branching or linear.

Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities that are extremely unlikely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology include prostheses or implants. This kind of improvement is not the same as medical internal technology which aims to restore the capabilities of nature. It is rather the beginning of an upgrade process that changes civilizations in a fundamentally different way. The universal upgrade is an extended and complicated process. The process can be classified in two categories that are complete success and partial failure.

It's similar to the ways that resort upgrades are implemented at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW the reason for this is usually due to operational requirements such as availability of rooms or the overbooking of rooms. In the case of Universal, this could be to move guests from one resort to another one that is open. This is not meant as a sarcastic comment however, in the current climate it might be impossible to avoid.

Universal upgrades can be applied on any kind of equipment. They can also be applied to a variety of items at the same time. They are therefore more flexible than other types of upgrades. This can be a problem when upgrading items along a specific gear path. It can raise the levels of each of the pieces on that path.

Before performing an upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the existing application files. After that you can install the new files by using the Get-ChildItem-Recurse or Unblock-File command. To make sure that your PSU server is operating properly it is also recommended to perform a basic verification.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to enhance armor, weapons or other items. The gems and reagents used to create them provide different stat bonuses and secondary effect. They are found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions as well as V Blood Carriers, and regular enemies. They can also be bought by a Master Craftsman karma or gold. Jewels can be crafted using a jewelry table using 5 of the same reagent type and 1 gem to make a jewel with an upper or lower tier. This process is similar to upgrading a stone on the gemcrafting table.

Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers that they possess. Jewels of higher tiers are more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by the jewel's tier, while the secondary effect is random. Players can make use of luck potions in order to increase their chances of getting better secondary effects.

Jewels can also be added to items with matching sockets similar to other upgrade components. For instance Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, but the Garnet Pebble is only able to increase regular hits while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strength. Jewels can be placed in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They can also be used with some exotic trinkets or trinkets of lower rarity that require slots.

As with other DM mechanics, gems aid to ensure that items feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of upgrade options jewels let players customize their equipment and find the combination that best suits their needs. They can even upgrade their existing equipment with new jewels if the original set of a particular kind isn't working anymore.

Requirements

The upgrade of items in WoW allows players to increase the level of their equipment, weapons and trinkets to their current item level by using specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase the stats of items and some also have special effects. (For example Dolphin's grace grants swimmers dolphin-like grace). The players can get these upgrades through any upgrader NPC or by rescuing them from items containing them, with a variety of items dropping various upgrade components.

The process of upgrading can be a bit complicated however, it's not difficult. The player first selects the item he wants to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will pop up with the various upgrades available for the item. The window will show the upgrade level, the type of upgrade bonus (such Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The bonus type for upgrades will be displayed below the bar which shows the upgrade level.

The player will need bring the item upgrading to the upgrader, who will then explain the process of upgrading the item upgrade. The player is then required to provide the appropriate currency and, if required, additional materials. These requirements are based on the item's item level with weapons generally having stricter requirements than armor.

In addition to the mandatory upgrade components, many upgrade recipes have an acceptable materials list. This list lists the other upgrade components are available on the item, and also includes a flag that indicates whether the item is guaranteed to boost or extra effect. This is important as the value of an upgrade may vary greatly depending on its "extras. For instance, perfectly rolled gear can be worth more than the unupgraded version.

For the kinds of upgrades that require crests and valorstones, they will be displayed in a separate listing below the main list. The crests and valorstones required are determined by the level of the item upgrader and weapon upgrades needing the most Valorstones.
