World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase the rarity of an item or mark Level, and also boost other stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats improve in value. This value is the total of all the upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on the person you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be modified to upgrade an item upgrade.

The level of an item is a commonly used measurement of power and can be found on all tooltips of items. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear since PvP is not available at lower levels. The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

The level of an item will allow players to compare the strength of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's a measure of the damage and quality. Comparing items from the inventory of a vendor can be done by using the item level.

The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item upgrade will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are several theories about how the calculation of an item's level is done. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated by a formula that calculates the worth of an item's stats really are. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems found in sockets increase the item's value. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is usually close to Blizzard's real item level.

This is not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.

Upgrades to an item upgrader kit may increase the stats of an item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while an item with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can do things like give the item extra damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing the cooldowns), or make the item upgrader kit unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.

At present, all affixes can be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other options for rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item to a specific stat or reroll affixes. The possible ranges of stats for an item are based on the item level, but every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it's an exclusive item or an item upgrader mod that is a God roll from a boss of a raid.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. Like the base equipment, this must be done per item and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the intensity of the properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players a possibility to obtain better equipment in earlier waves and is therefore more valuable in the initial game run than later ones because most players value higher weapon scaling and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chance of upgrading that increase with each level of the item. These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor, and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck, or to increase the luck of an item, up to 140.

Additionally some items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be outfitted to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be bought from the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their chance of success or stop them from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The success rate of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading that item and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to how much the success rates can be improved and the chance of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%..

The performance of an can be affected by the luck of that item. All items have a base success rate of 25% and every item with Luck increases that chance by five percent.

It is important to note that Upgrade Item items are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects could be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
