Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

For instance an item level upgrade with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following the reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

In the final game, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different amount of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets leveled up.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced with a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrader mod - 3.13.251.167 - upgrades. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For example they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
