The 9 Things Your Parents Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are a method to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it can boost the rarity of an item or mark Level and boost additional stats.
Each item level upgrade has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specified amount.
Item Level
When an item is upgraded, its stats increase in value. This value is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive dependent on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade item you decide to perform. This is because of how many perks must be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.
It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to determine a gating condition when waiting to queue for dungeons and scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is limited to an lower level). Players can see their average item level in their character sheet.
When deciding whether to purchase or sell equipment players can evaluate the levels of the item. It's a good indicator of the quality of an item and how much damage it is capable of causing. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done using the level of the item.
The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full description of the item, as well as its level. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.
There are various theories on how the item level upgrade level calculation is made. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl, which is typically close to the actual Blizzard item level.
This isn't the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may alter its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game utilizes them in various ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon and to motivate players to experiment with other weapons. The base stats on a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn boosted by the player's level.
Upgrades to an item may increase the stats of an item. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded once however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with more expensive costs.
Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or add a unique ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting a special name to the item.
At present, all affixes can be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other options for rerolling.
Players can choose to upgrade an item with a specific stat or reroll attaches. The possible ranges of stats for an item are based on the level of the item, however all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it's an exclusive item or a God roll from a boss in a raid.
This is another aspect that could be changed by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. But, like base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis and the item compare interface wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.
item upgrade Luck
A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of these properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players the chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more beneficial in early game runs than in later ones, because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.
Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance that increases with each item level and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be made or spawn using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to give +40 Luck or to increase the Luck of the item up to 140.
Furthermore, certain items, like the Hollow infused weapon, can be equipped to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shop or created by using the appropriate ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it fails.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations on the extent to which success rates can be increased and the chance of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..
The Luck of an item level upgrade can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. All items have an average success rate of 25% and each item with Luck increases that chance by an additional five percent.
It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items, so enchantment glint and other effects can be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
