The Biggest Problem With Item Upgrader And How To Fix It
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade it could increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.
The process of upgrading gear in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests Each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a specific amount.
Item Level
When an item is upgraded, its basic stats are increased in value. This is the sum of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the variety of perks that need to be altered to upgrade an item.
It is also used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It is also used to limit how much PvP gear players can use since PvP is not available at a lower level. Players can view their average level of items on their character sheet.
Using the item level can help players evaluate the potency of gear when choosing to buy or sell. It's a sign of the item's damage and quality. The item level can also be used to evaluate items when examining the inventory of a vendor.
On your PC, you can view the item level using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the complete item description, including its level. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then entering /itemlevel into chat.
There are a few theories on how the item level calculation is done. One theory is that the item level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and sockets have gems that increase the overall value of the item. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is typically close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.
However, this is not the only factor which determines the ilvl of an Best item upgrade, because the level of the area the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, for example by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher value.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can determine the fate of an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats of a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat mods that are in turn enhanced by the player's level.
Upgrades to an item may boost its stats. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey for instance, can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers may be upgraded several times at higher prices.
Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to provide items with extra damage or other special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs), or to distinguish them by adding a name.
All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, as with other rerolling methods.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However every item will contain at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an exclusive Best item upgrade, or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.
Another thing that can be modified by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to increase. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item basis, and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the likelihood of item discoveries, the properties spawned on loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is especially useful for early game runs, because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
The shields, armor, and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to give +40 Luck or to increase the Luck of the item upgrading up to 140.
Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shops or made using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Item upgrades are expensive and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to boost their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.
When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which success rates can be increased and the probability of an upgrade item failing can't be greater than 100%..
The Luck of an item may affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item has a base success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases that chance by 5%.
The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This can obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
