The GP Unique
It's difficult to find a more stylish hatchback than the GP Unique. It features big intakes, arch extension and a two-part rear wing. These are features usually reserved for French unicorns.
Thankfully, the GP Unique doesn't just look attractive, but also feels fast. The engine is smooth, powerful, and its 332lb-ft of torque is available with no hassle at speeds below 1,750rpm. It's also well matched with the quick-shifting, six-speed automatic transmission. Mini is extremely focused on lap times, and it's unfortunate that the GP Unique does not have a manual transmission.
That said, it's not without its faults. For starters, the GP Unique's passive damping is firm but uninvolving. On a straight and smooth B road, you can easily test the chassis's dynamic limits however, it's hard to stay fluid with your inputs. The front end can become slightly snatchy and the car is unable to maintain its position when under the stress of irregular British bumps.
Once you dial into the GP Unique, its handling is exceptional. Its emphatic front end and body control are reminiscent of the JCW race car we drove last year. It's a joy to drive on a slippery road and when in a good mood.
The chassis of the car feels different from that of the standard MT-09 because of its increased torsional rigidity, and larger axles. The new GP's 24.7 degrees of rake, and 108mm trail, feel more nose-heavy as compared to the R6. However, it also results in incredible stability in turns.
The PO Generator module is another fantastic feature of GP. This lets you examine your inventory levels and min/max levels you've set for each item as well as any open POs from your suppliers (ie more inventory is in the pipeline) and then creates an order list of purchase orders you can suggest which you can forward to your suppliers.
The GP 500
The GP 500 is Airoh’s lightest GP Helmet to date. It helps to reduce neck strain, fatigue, and improve safety by reducing pressure on shoulders. The shell is designed to be aerodynamic, and has a chin curtain spoiler to further improve aerodynamics and minimise wind buffeting. Its EQRS quick release system is similar to the one found on most motorbike helmets designed for track use, allowing emergency services to take off the helmet without causing any discomfort to the wearer's neck.
The GP500, like most modern helmets are Snell and certified by SHARP. It is a SHARP 3-star rating. Although this isn't the best rating, it's an excellent rating considering that it includes front to back and side impact protection.
I was extremely impressed by the quality of the images. The GP500 can project an image up to 4K resolution and managed to do this with excellent clarity. According to BenQ's specifications, it also had a very low lag between inputs in both Game Mode and Fast Mode.
It was extremely accurate in terms of color, with a DeltaE of only 2.3 which is a great value. It also showed outstanding grayscale performance, with clean and distinct shades. The GP500 also displayed subtle rainbow colors when watching the Adam Project. They were clear to see however they did not affect the viewing experience.
The sound is also very impressive, and the GP500 has an onboard independent DSP chip with TreVolo psychoacoustic tune that works to create 3D audio effects. It has an internal quad speaker layout placed at the corners of the cabinet. It is designed to create a full sound field for all users regardless of the seating position in the room.
There are various connectivity options that include HDMI inputs 1, 2 and 3, as well as an optical Toslink SPDIF port for passing native Dolby Atmos bitstreams to an external sound bar. The GP500 features two Type-A USB 2.0 port for streaming content. It also has the 12-volt screen trigger.
The GP 1000
The GP 1000 portable gas monitor is specifically designed for use in hazardous areas. The unit is equipped with a micro-pump and a sample probe. It is powered by four alkaline batteries that are connected in series. The GP-1000 is able to directly read up to 25 gases, and features a large, intuitive display that is easy to read. It also has a powerful backlight, datalogging features, and an option to boost the pump for long sampling lines.
The device can be used in a variety of ways that include mining and construction. It can help you identify potential hazards at work and protect your employees. It can also help you reduce the chance of injuries and property damage. It is a cost-effective solution for your safety concerns.
Apart from allowing you take precise measurements in the field, the GP-1000 can also help you save time and money. The modular design of the hoist is built around polygonal connections which permit quick and simple disassembly. This makes maintenance and repairs much quicker and easier.

The GP 900
Sceptics will point out that the GP is just a naked XSR900 dressed in a Wayne Rainey frock, but the truth is that Yamaha's engineers have put their heads together to create a sincere and powerful tribute to its legendary sporty heritage. The GP's new Deltabox frame and swingarm are both 55mm longer and feel more compact and firmly planted in corners thanks to the altered chassis geometry. In addition, a fully-specified 6-axis IMU provides a range of electronic riding aids to the platform, and KYB suspension is upgraded with a larger front fork and a longer wheelbase.
The GP's fairing, which is asymmetrically designed, is a clever trick in its sleeves, featuring two air vents positioned in the cowling, to lower pressure inside and to help disperse heat from the engine. This gives it a more sleek appearance and lowers the bike's centre of gravity. The GP's color TFT dashboard, which shows messages and call notifications, and lets you choose between Garmin StreetCross Navigation and turn-by-turn directions (free the first year) is also an improvement that is welcome.
The GP comes with three pre-set riding modes, and a custom setting that can be adjusted by the rider manually. A new suite of technology that is connected to smartphones is also included, with the GP having a Y-Connect application for smartphone integration and media controls, as well as cruise control and a brand new USB Type C socket for gadget charging.
There's no doubt that the GP 900 is an excellent sports heritage-inspired machine and is an ideal commuter or Sunday blaster. The 117bhp CP3 engine is very user-friendly and has a range of power that can be accessed at low revs. Even at road speed the GP is a blast of midrange hoo-hah that's enough to re-calibrate your speed/time calculations and completely eviscerate Google Maps' estimated time of arrival. The GP's chassis has just the proper amount of stiffness - it is not as painfully stiff as an R6 nor as light and agile as the TT500. However, it's a lot of fun and a blast to ride.
