The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some models have superior navigation and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and works well however, this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to reduce odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.
The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
The robot automatic vacuum cleaner mop has a high Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. These include an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing the cleaning process. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuums with mop vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan that it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting pet hair. It was able to capture many of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.
The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which can be a pain when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base also has a number of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning or recall the robot or start the dock's auto vacuum and mop-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets entangled in an obstacle, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
